The beginning of 2021 took off with news and activity updates regarding the Bakend Se Afrika Project. Since January 2021, new team members were introduced , and several works developed by students participating on Bakeng se Afrika were presented.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, it was announced a very exiting update: Bakeng se Afrika Digital skeletal repository will be available to researchers and educators by the end of 2021. This repository is the result of the work produced by three institutions, the University of Pretoria’s Pretoria Bone Collection, Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University’s Human Bone Collection, and Stellenbosch University’s Kirsten Collection.

 

 

Lastly, the project was na highlight on the Department of Life Sciences (University of Coimbra) web page.
