Everyday using most of his synapses to tackle problems that interest him in the intersection of business and science. Methodological-wise his interests delve into geometric morphometrics and machine learning. Theoretically-wise he is concerned with heat-induced anatomical changes and solving classic problems in osteology with a data-centered approach. To tackle these, João is currently developing support decision systems that might help forensic anthropologists do their job better. He is also co-founder of Osteomics, a startup project aiming at merging future tech with osteology.
